Hola!

AMAZING WEEK!! I'd have to say that this week was so crazy, full of ups and downs, but hey, that's just about every week as a missionary. But we ended up having four baptisms this weekend... and they were all just beautiful!

Lan and Ban made it!! They were nothing but giggles and grins and delight the entire day! Ban was baptized first (to lead the way for his family). As he came up out of the water he looked up at his wife who was standing on the font steps waiting her turn. You could see the relief on both of their faces knowing that this was truly the best decision they could make for their family. Then it was Lan's turn. After the baptisms their 6 year old son Dat said "Why are people crying??" I said to him, "We're all very happy right now!" ......"WHY ARE YOU HAPPY?! THEY'RE ALL WET!" Everyone laughed.

Funny kid :) He would tell everyone that his mom and dad were getting baptized and that in 2 years it would be HIS turn! I cannot wait for them to be sealed together in the Temple someday. What a blessing to witness and be a part of their baptism and their journey to the Gospel. They did it themselves. We provided the tools they needed and THEY did the work, and the Lord provided the miracles. I love it.

Kye was another one who was baptized. She was just recently married and then she was able to be baptized! MIRACLE. We had her baptism planned for this upcoming weekend (November 4th) and last Sunday we asked if she wanted to move her baptism up a week early: "You're ready," we told her, "You could do it this week if you wanted!". She and her husband (member) said they would talk it over. Last Monday night we were paying visits to some people in the Hospital when we got a text from her. She had gone into work and was upset to see that her work had cut some of her hours that week and that she wasn't scheduled all weekend. She said intitially she was upset but realized that "Hey, this works out! It's a sign! I need to be baptized this weekend!"..... So she was! It was amazing! She had a great turnout and she was so happy :) She's so cute!

Oar was also baptized. He is 18 years old and was SO ready for the Gospel. (forgive me if I repeat from last week) The Elders were teaching him but he decided to try out the English ward...right before being baptized! The Elders ran the show for his baptism, in which I was grateful (we had Kye's going on right at the same time...we were doing a Stake baptism kind of dealio because they wanted their own programs... insane. Never doing that again.) But we were able to witness his baptism. He is very smart and told us he wants to serve a mission! He has a year, so that's great!

I love this work. It makes my heart happy in knowing that we are doing our best. I've been pondering a lot this week about success... success is not measured by how many baptisms we get to witness, or how many investigators we have... Success is measured by our efforts and by our faith and diligence and obedience. Some people are just ready for the Gospel, and we are fortunate enough to witness those miracles. This is the Lord's work... they are HIS baptisms ... We just get to help and be His mouthpiece! :)

I hope you all see miracles this week! AND HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

PS: We're carving pumpkins today with the Hermanas! I'm excited! (Can you believe it's almost NOVEMBER!?!!?)

I love you so much! ALL OF YOU!!

I heard it snowed the other day! It's currently 77* here today, slight breeze. I'm gonna be a shivering mess when I come home to 30* weather!! Haha!
