Family!

WOW!! Wasn't Conference amazing?? I literally wept as they announced the new ages for missionaries to enter the field. To be quite honest, I had heard the rumor about the Elders going in at 18, but I was SHOCKED at the news for girls to go in at 19!! OH MY GOSH! That is SO COOL! The Spirit touched my heart and I knew it was divine revelation to be sending out the rising generation at a younger age.

For months now I have prayed that the youth would be more inspired, or given greater opportunities to serve missions. It's wonderful how many missionaries we have out in the field: but it is not enough. This world needs more missionaries, and needs them NOW. It's hard to see how few numbers we have compared to the world, but we are indeed on the winning side of the team, no matter how small our numbers are. But now is the time! I know that more and more people will be able to go with less distractions coming up. They'll have to be ready!

I would've gone at 19, but the Lord needed me to be in certain places at certain times. He needed me on a mission at THIS time in my life. I'm grateful for the tests and trials and opportunities and amazing experiences I had at age 19. I wouldn't trade them for the world. The Lord had a plan for me. It's a good thing He waited to start sending out the girls at 19 AFTER I already left for mine! ;) NOW is my time.

I enjoyed all of the talks. SO AMAZING! I love General Conference, I hope you all got out of it something you had been searching for or wondering and praying about. Truly inspiring :)

It was a MIRACULOUS weekend!! We had the baptism in-between sessions of Conference on Saturday that we were praying for last week!! Ly got baptized after all!

SO.... we wanted to take her to the Temple grounds and after watching all the inspiring movies in the Visitor's Center re-commit her to be baptized that very next day. Well, all week she kept telling us she didn't think she'd be able to go to the Temple after all... she wasn't  aware it was messing up our plans! ;)

So Thursday night our lessons all cancelled. Usually when that happens the Lord has something else in store for us to do. We were led by the Spirit to visit Ly. Knowing she had to work late, we were hopeful she might be home (it was 7:30). Lo and behold she was! She had gotten off work early, to her surprise, and we caught her at the best time!

We talked with her and her husband and very boldly told them that she needed to be baptized and not wait. I could feel the Holy Ghost fill my mouth as I testified of the blessings they would receive if she were to be baptized now and not wait until December. We discussed their ultimate goals as a couple, and they truly desire to get to the Temple and be sealed. "The sooner you get baptized, the sooner you can both get to the Temple and be sealed for all Eternity." ... she said she would pray about it and let us know.
That night Sister Win and I decided to fast for Ly. We were strictly obedient and prayed earnestly that she would accept the invitation to be baptized Saturday. 10:40 am Friday morning Ly texted us and said "I want to be baptized. I'll go through with it tomorrow!"

Miracle baptism! And she truly felt in her heart that it was right. She was so happy and nervous and excited, and you could tell her husband was too.

YAY!

Good week!
I'm feeling better. I went to the Dr's and he gave me some medicine and I'm seeing him again this Wednesday. (I'll keep you updated)

Thank you for the package!! I LOVED IT!! I pulled out the gift you got me from Disneyland and I yelled "OH MY GOSH! THEY GOT ME A DINGLEHOPPER!!" My companion just looked at me and said "A what??"  ..... yes.... I loved it!!!!!! :) Also, thank you for the envelopes, candy, cool water bottle from the Temple (how was it?), and Little Mermaid dolls :) Haha You guys know me well ;D

I love you all so much! Remember the Lord every day!
Love, Sister Moore
