Hola,
HAPPY OCTOBER, Y'ALL!
Can you believe it's October already? I can't! Time is flying past me and I can't seem to get a hold of any of it! Days go by quick, but that's good: means I'm having a fantastic time! No... no one got baptized this weekend. BUT this weekend between Conference sessions we plan to have a miracle baptism. Literally PLANNING it to happen.
Ly was supposed to be baptized last Saturday but due to some unforeseen events had to postpone it, and wants to do it mid-November! Yikes! So we plan to take her to the Tempe Visitor's center this Friday and re-commit her to baptism... for the very next day! (we know she doesn't' have plans) :D ha ha! It'll all work out great.
Lan and Ban finally met with us this past week. They took a break from us for a bit to sort through some stuff but we've definitely talked a lot with them about re-setting their goals for baptism. The end of this month is their set goal: Oct 27th. We'll make it happen! The Lord is on our side. This is His work, and if they do all that is required on their part they will see miracles take place in their lives.
Madds, thanks for emailing me! Thank you for the love you shared for Lan and Ban... it's so true. ANY addiction is difficult. I liked the quote you gave me. I'll share it with them for sure! Glad you could take over the email today! Although it seems mom and dad got internet connnection to send me an email too! Yay! However, I am grateful you emailed me anyhow. It was good to hear from you!
Glad the store is working out for you! (except for the credit card machine..ha!)
Hunter: WHAT? You don't like Elmo anymore?? Hahaha I'm so funny! Dontcha think? Hey, they just don't make birthday cards for 15 year olds anymore, alright? But glad you liked the hat! I also got you something else, but it was too awkward of a shape to send it home... I'll figure something out... maybe I'll just wait to give it to you for Christmas.. (intrigued now? I bet you are!)
Anywho, Mom and Dad: your turn... how was Disneyland? The one pic you sent me so far was not really what I was expecting to get from your vacation. Alright Goodyear! ;) haha So, I want to hear all about your trip... it may make me a little "trunky", but I'll get over it. Did you ride the new Little Mermaid ride? Did you ride the Maddie-horn and feel the Swiss bliss? Did you ride the Tower of Terror and scream your heads off? Did you ride Soaring about a million times over? Did you keep the tradition and ride Pirates first? Did you eat a churro and think of me? Did you get to see the fireworks and Fantasmic show? Did you laze around the Mark Twain riverboat? Did you ride "dosts"? Did you ride Indy? Did you see Billy Hill and tell him hi for me? Did you see Tarzan and get me a picture? (Woah.... jk...) DID YOU HAVE A FANTASMIC TIME?!?! HAPPY 25TH ANNIVERSARY! (in a row! hahahaha!)
Well, Sister Win and I have set a big goal to get more baptisms this month. Last month was rough, but today is a new day. It's a brand new month! We're making better plans to accomplish our goals and we're so excited! Already we have 5 people on-date and 2 more praying about a date! we plan to put a few more on-date this week. We're striving to be as obedient as possible so we can qualify ourselves for the Lord's blessings and miracles. I have a ton of quotes around my mirror in my bathroom and one of them says "Obedience brings blessings, but exact obedience brings miracles!" ... how true that is. Just like any other principle in the Gospel if we are obedient and take the time and effort to be obedient to the Lord's commandments He will keep His end of the covenant, and bless us with things that we deserve! I'm excited for this month. I can't believe the Holidays are almost here! Exciting time of year for everyone! The work moves on...!
I love you all so much! Send everyone my love!
* * * See a great week!
Love, Sister Moore
