October 22, 2012

Hey,

Wow, this week has so many great things! Miracles are happening all over the place!! Ki, our cute single mom, got baptized this past Saturday! It was a beautiful baptism, and we had a great turn-out of a lot of non-members! She had great support from her friends and family who came.. I really hope they listened to the promptings of the Holy Spirit as they witnessed such a sacred event. It was powerful. We are so proud of her :)

That one couple I told you about last week (Dal and Her) are still deciding when to get married, and whether or not to have it a combined ceremony with their baptism. Let's hope soon!

This weekend.......*drumroll* ....... LAN AND BAN ARE GETTING BAPTIZED!! They are ready. I know I've said this probably a million times, but they are doing SO well. They told us the other day that they had some personal revelation that has helped them tremendously in quitting smoking: they said "We're not smokers. We weren't BORN smokers, so we're really not giving anything up! We just forgot who we were for a little bit there.. We're just coming back." :) Some people are skeptical about whether or not it will really happen, but I feel in my heart, as does my companion, that they will get baptized this Saturday. It's going to happen. They are more than determined. I cannot wait! Their son Dat is telling everybody "My mom and dad are getting baptized Saturday, and then in two years it's my turn! And we're going to the Temple!".  :) :) :)

It's so true... seeing someone enter the waters of baptism is such a blessing... but to see them enter the Temple is simply miraculous.

At the end of November Mie and Jen (my recent convert and his wife from Tempe) are getting sealed together and to their little girl!! Then they'll have little "Mie Jr" at the beginning of December! I AM SO EXCITED!! :D His family still has not joined the church *yet*, but they are very happy for Mie and Jen and Ely, and little Jab (Mie Jr). Oh, it makes my heart so happy :)

We also have two more people on date for baptism. Kye, who just recently got married to a member, is on date for November 3rd!

Last night the Elders introduced us to a young kid, Oar (17 years old) who wants to attend the English ward. He wanted to be baptized in November but was so moved by our missionary Fireside last night that he bumped it up to THIS WEEKEND!!! WHA--?!?! So cool!

I'm telling ya... miracles. 'Tis the season! (or almost!)

Oh, to answer your questions, yes! I got the package! And Oooo.... that nasty mummy and rat FLEW OUT of the box at me as I opened it!! Gah. Thanks for that ;) The decorations are so super cute! We decorated our windows. I'll send you pictures! So fun! Thank you! And thanks for the sugar-free candy! :)

I'm not sure what else to write, other than I love you all very much :) Aren't we so lucky to have the Gospel in our lives?? :D Families are forever. That's the point. The Temple and Eternal Life should be our ultimate goal.
I love you all so much. I really do appreciate all the letters, support, packages, encouragement, prayers.... everything! It keeps me going! THANK YOU!!

See a great week!
H! H! HfI! * * *
Love, Sister Moore
