February 27, 2012

My dear family,

I am so grateful that it's Monday! I love Mondays! And I am so glad that everyone is doing so well! Everything here is amazing; the weather, the people, the work.... just plain good!

There were, of course, trying times this week. Da ended up cancelling her baptism an hour and a half before it started. She called us up just heart-broken with the challenges she is facing. Her family is so against her decision, and I can only imagine how hard that would be! We talked things out over the phone and she asked to meet with us quite a few times this week. We told her that it's just a set-back: nothing is set in stone. She told us that she WILL be baptized. This time around the adversary just really got to her. (poor girl). She hadn't been calling  us back to set up lessons so we could not keep encouraging her. She recognizes now that we were truly trying to help her. "I thought I could face my challenges on my own. I was wrong. I need the Lord to help me battle this."

I am just grateful she is still planning on baptism. It's moments like these that make us stronger for the future.

K is getting baptized on Saturday! YAY! I can't wait :) We were reviewing all that we have taught her last night, and you can tell she is ready. Her testimony is so strong, and she just glows with excitement at the thought of being baptized. And get this; both she and B were wearing their modest outfits on Sunday! They both looked so cute and comfortable and happy!

So this week we have really been trying to increase our pool of investigators; we're contacting old former investigators from years passed. Surprisingly, everyone we've been able to contact has agreed to meet with us. Some have said that it's the right time for them now. I sure hope so!

Well, I don't have much time to email today. But know that I love you so much!

HURRAH! HURRAH! HURRAH FOR ISRAEL! * * *
Love, Meg
