Hola!
So, I have to start off by telling you that I am staying here! (WHA-??) aaaand..... I'M TRAINING!! So in short, I will be here for at least another 12 weeks! But here's the crazy cool part: I'm pretty sure I know who my trainee is! The only English Sister coming out this transfer is Sister N from G, Utah (I'm assuming I'm training her, because that would be odd for me to train a Spanish Sister)! But yes, she's the one I was in Primary with! She may not remember me, but this crazy memory of mine recognized her name and picture instantly when I first saw it in the Mission Home! I have felt all transfer that I would be training. The Spirit has helped me along with thoughts such as "You better remember this and learn how you can teach it to a new missionary", or "When you start training, be sure to tell her______.." etc. I am just excited to get to show a new missionary around! I'm a little nervous, but more excited than anything else!
This past Saturday was Le's baptism! It ended up happening on that date after all! It would've been Sister C's last chance for a baptism, and Le loves her so! He was sad that everyone else was trying to change his date that he had picked, especially when he found out that if it was changed she would not have been able to attend! So he told everyone very boldly that St. Patrick's Day was HIS baptism day! And it was amazing :) He's such a smart little kid! He's so grown up in so many ways. His family is a big, crazy, fun, Mexican family, and he sets such a great example to his cousins who are not yet members. His mom, C, told us about an incident that they had in the car one day: As they were driving, another car did something dumb and C got angry. Le turned to his mom and said, in his very polite and concerned tone of voice, "Mom... do you think you can feel the Spirit right now?".
Hehehe Smarty pants! I was actually looking through the baptism pictures on my camera last night and got a deep impression as I looked at him in his little white suit: He's going to be an amazing missionary someday. He is going to bless so many lives.
*chills* I love this work!
Earlier this past Saturday we also had a special training with the M Mission Sisters (they have a TON! At least twice as many as us!) and were trained on how we are going to help out at the Easter Pageant. I am so excited to see it! We met the cast after our training, and as we walked into the chapel I could sense their excitement and joy as we were about to help them practice talking to their friends about the pageant, and what to say to those who would come to the show! (About 1/3 of the attendees will not be members.) It was great fun to work with them!
This week is going to be crazy! Today at 3:30 I am dropping off Sister C to the Mission Office and picking up Sister M's companion (since M and C are leaving, Sister F and I will be temporary companions until Wednesday at transfers). Then tonight all four of us Sisters will be having a SLEEP-OVER! Sadly, we'll all be so beat that lights will be out at 10:30 anyway... but still! It'll be fun! Then M and C are off to the airport bright and early in the morning. CRAZY! I'm going to miss these girls. I love them both so much. I have learned so much from them, and the experiences we've shared will always keep us close! I have found in them true friends.
I love this Gospel. I know it's true! It blesses lives, and keeps us eternally safe and happy!
I LOVE YOU ALL! 'Till next week....
Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah for Israel! * * *
Love, Sister Meg
