March 12, 2012

My dear family and friends,

Well, this week has been super awesome, despite it being a slower week with not so many lessons. BUT... we do have a lot of great potential investigators that we'd met on the street! It's amazing how people will just flood into the Gospel... they come in waves. And usually right before transfers too! Speaking of which, Sister C AND Sister M both go home next Tuesday! :( Transfers are next week, and I am almost 99.99% sure I am staying here. But then again, the Lord may decide to white-wash us out! But as for now it looks like I'm staying. SO continue to send mail to my current address :)

Le didn't get baptized this weekend, so we're waiting on that. It was changed to this Saturday. So we'll have an awesome St Patty's Day Baptism! He's such a cute kid! Last night he and his Mom, C, and his Abuela (grandma) were trying to guess my first name! (It's a secret to everyone out here, mind you)... he knew it started with an M. His mom told me I reminded her of a cat (WHA-??) and so Le nicknamed me "Mitten Kitten Milly Wonka". Missionary work isn't all that you think it is! Hahaha!

I have to say that this past little while I WAS super stressed and burdened with a lot of things, but I am definitely on the up-swing now. Life is good!

Today we are fasting for L's husband, J. He does not want her to meet with us anymore, and in our last lesson with her we shared with her the story from the February Ensign about the investigator who fasted for her husband. L was so excited to fast for J, and she truly believes it will work! I can truly attest to the power of fasting. I could not have gotten through so much of what has happened this past little while without it! Fasting brings forth so many miracles.

The weather here has been beautiful. Sunny and in the 70's. I'm getting excited for summer, actually! Because of the nice weather here people are always barbecuing and having picnics and parties in the park! I'm all messed up when it comes to what month it actually IS right now! I say that I'm excited for summer, but I may regret it when it starts getting up in the 100's! WHEW! Bring it.

So this year for the M Temple Easter Pageant, the Sisters of my Mission were asked to come work at the pageant! I am so excited!! I have only heard amazing things about it, and if it's anything like working at the Christmas Lights, I cannot wait! We have a special training on it this Saturday. I love opportunities like this. So many non-members go to this thing... it's a gold mine waiting to happen.

I love this work. I love being a missionary. I love you all, and never forget it!
HURRAH! HURRAH! HURRAH FOR ISRAEL!!
* * *

Love, Sister Meg
