Dearest loved ones,
Mom, no.... no package yet... Who knows! It may have ended up in Kentucky or something...
I had a BEAUTIFUL Easter yesterday; one of my favorites so far! (it's hard to compete with all of our past ones!) ;)
Saturday we hosted the Easter Pageant (which, btw, another Sister Missionary said she ran into Mel! She said Mel told her to tell me hello. The Sister said, "You're Sister Moore! Your aunt says hello! She came to the pageant with her cute little family! She looks just like you!" Hm.... Mel, do we really look alike? Must be the hair... or crazy gene we all have... or something ;) But cool! Didn't think they were coming! I hope you liked it!

**** OH! HAHAHAHA!! That's so funny! Well, then... never mind! Tell L that's awesome!!
Meg-They didn't go down but L and K were there and asked about you! They were with their friends who live down there! And I didn't think you looked like her either!
Last night we had dinner with M(recent convert) his new wife J, his new daughter E, and his parents U and F (who aren't members...yet). We did an Easter Egg hunt with them with spiritual clues inside about Easter. It went great!
Oh okay, so..... in order to explain our miracle from yesterday, I first have to tell you about one of our investigators: G. G was found by us trying to contact some old former investigator from a few years ago. I kept getting this impression to stop by this one particular lady's apartment. She was NEVER home, and the place seemed empty. But I kept feeling that we needed to stop by and try. (this all happened back in February).
Finally someone was home, but it wasn't her; a man answered the door and told us quite abruptly that she had moved over a year ago. Disappointed that the woman we were seeking no longer resided there the thought came to my mind "Then why do we need to be here? There must be something more...". We politley asked the gentleman if he would be interested in hearing our message about the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. Immediately his countenance changed, and he promptly agreed!
Sister N and I started teaching G about 3 weeks ago. He's a Jehovah's Witness who is still unsure about his belief in their religion, just recently divorced with 2 kids, and is going through a lot. He's the first JW I've met who has actually sat down with us to listen to our message. He expressed his concerns that by him even listening to us was a grave and serious sin. We told him that Heavenly Father is pleased with his desire to learn more about God and our Savior Jesus Christ! It's not a sin to search for more truth. He thought about that statement and agreed.
We had prayed and prayed about G and felt prompted to extend a baptism date to him last Friday night. Sister N was awesome in extending the date, even though he said no. (it happens). But from that he really opened up and we were able to discuss a lot of concerns he's had. We've been meeting with him quite regularly this past little while and it was the right time for him. We knew it. We invited him to church for our Easter service and he said no.
We left that lesson feeling down and out... but the Spirit was so strong there, and you could see it touch him. That next morning (Saturday) he said that he was considering coming to the Easter Pageant. ........WHA-??? He wasn't comfortable coming to church, but he was willing to come to the Temple? This was a miracle! And he came. He loved it. He loved the Temple. He loved the Visitor's Center. And as we walked around the Temple grounds giving him a mini-tour he said, "So, hey... I've been thinking... when is your service tomorrow? I think I want to come..." Sister N and I BEAMED and happily told him the time.
Long story short he was impressed with what he learned and felt at church. The Elder's Quorum is helping him move into his new apt on Saturday, and he was overwhelmed with all the friends he's made so far.
What a blessing. I'm thinking the Lord definitely knew what he was doing when He told us that we needed to extend a baptism date for G. He's been deeply thinking about it, and it's bringing forth miracles! I LOVE IT!!
Easter miracle? YES.
I hope you all felt the miracle and blessing of this beautiful holiday yesterday. I wish Easter had bigger celebrations. As little E kept saying over and over last night with giddy excitement, "Jesus was resurrected today! YAY!!" it is my prayer that we can always remember the true meaning of Easter and how glorious it is.
I love my Savior Jesus Christ. He is my joy and my song.
I love this work. He is the head of it!
Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah for Israel! Happy Easter to you all!

Love, Sister Moore
