Thanksgiving was amazing! After lunch with a single lady in one of our wards (I made the mashed potatoes! HOMEMADE! By myself, I might add!), we went to dinner with all of our Zone at a senior couples' house. I felt so much at home. The dinner was perfect and I felt so much at peace. I felt overjoyed with all the things that I am blessed with. As we went around and told what we were grateful for I didn't even know where to start! I have far too many things that I'm grateful for that I can't just LIST them!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am glad that everyone is doing well. But tell Em to get feeling better and same to Emilie and Rachel!
Speaking of being sick.... I had the stomach flu this weekend.... Oh. My. Blaaaahhhh... Sister Makela and I both caught it (from WHERE we can't figure out...), so we had to cancel ALL of our lessons on Saturday and we had to miss all four of our wards yesterday! The mission nurse made me go to the Urgent Care yesterday morning... but all is well! I am now fully healed and well-rested, and ready for this week! Sister Makela is also all better, so that is good!
You never realize how precious time is until you're lying in bed, realizing how much time you're "wasting" by being sick and trying to get better! We have a lot to make up for this week, and now that I feel rejuvinated (and full of the Christmas spirit!) I am ready to get out there and get people on the right path!
So it's WEIRD that it's now almost December! Today it's 72*, we had the windows rolled down, listening to "I'm dreaming of a WHITE Christmas" by Bing Crosby. (Me too, Bing... me too.) It's so ODD! I feel like we're barely creeping into September here with all this fine weather! Granted, I love it. I guess I shouldn't complain, considering you're all having to wake up early to heat up your cars and scrape off your windshields, yeah? Is it even snowing up there? I don't even know. Haha! I'm taking this fine weather and enjoying it to its fullest.
I'm sorry my blog email was short last week. Things were just CRAZY here! I am so excited for CHRISTMAS! This season is indeed a time for miracles, and we have a lot of baptisms coming up... I pray for miracles every day; and I expect to see a lot this upcoming month!
'Tis the season for MIRACLES! Pray for miracles for yourselves this Christmas season! They do happen!
I love this work, and I'm so grateful to be one of the Lord's missionaries in today's world. It's tough, but so worth it.
I love you all! Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah for Israel!! :D
Love, Sister Moore
(your favorite strawberry-blonde Sister Missionary!)
