Hola!!
So first off.... WHAT A WEEK!! We have baptism dates falling from Heaven! The Lord is just giving us investigators... just HANDING them to us! I am so so blessed, and I am seeing so many amazing miracles!!!! We have six baptisms (soon to be ten) coming up so soon! What is happening?! This is too amazing!! But I pray for miracles each day, and I know so many others are too... The Lord does hear and answer our prayers! This area is READY to hear the Gospel!
GA! Anyway...
How are all of you?? And......HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUNTER!!!! I hope you have an awesome day! I'm glad you got the package! I know the gifts are small, but so is my budget ;) Hehe
So I'm sad to hear about Crystl's package! What on earth? Hahaha that stinks... they better reimburse her for that! But thank you Crys! It's the thought that counts! :D
Saturday was a crazy day... we had my SECOND BAPTISM for an awesome guy named Mike! He moved into our area and we got to finish teaching him the lessons for baptisms! He used to live in the Phoenix mission (which we literally border), and he is golden. His parents are super amazing, and we hope to get them to join the true church as well! I see great potential in them. They are already fascinated and interested in the Gospel... I love it so much! And Mike's baptism went so well!! I'll send pics home soon!
And yes! I went to the broadcast (with some investigators who LOVED it), and I simply adored the talks! President Uchtdorf's talk on "forget-me-nots" was sensational. I've always loved hearing him speak. We had a Stake RS dinner right afterwards, and it was so fun! (granted I could only quickly grab a plate to eat and then rush off to set up for our Movie Night!)
I don't know if I told you about our weekly Saturday night Book of Mormon Movie Night, but it is awesome!! We're on week 3, and it's a big hit! We always do a fun activity that ties in with what scripture cartoon we're watching. This week was the Liahona and Nephi's journey across the ocean. So we did a scripture scavenger hunt around the church that gave us clues to what room to go to, to eventually lead us to where the movie was hidden. (i.e. "FEAST upon the words of Christ" = kitchen, etc...) They learned so much and all of them want to keep coming! We're recruiting numbers. I love the movie nights! Is there any better way to spend a Saturday night than to watch cheesy cartoons about the scriptures, eating delicious snacks with the Sister Missionaries?? I think not!
Hahaha!
Oh, I never mentioned it an email (I did in your letter), but.... Thank you for the GREENIE PACKAGE!!!!! I seriously loved it so so much... :D You guys are the best, and I'm so blessed to have so many loving and supportive people in my life! I love you all so much!
And it's funny you check my Facebook... I actually de-activated it before I left, so I guess you logging on would've opened it again. LOL! Tell everyone hey! I just didn't want it on in case someone thought that it was ME posting stuff and being disobedient, and yaddy yadda ya... But tell Sister Peterson I love her too! AND KELLY?!?! YAY!!! Tell her congrats and ask her for her address she's at now so I can write her and tell her congrats!! Texas will be so awesome!! Seriously, now that I'm out here, stateside IS the best!! :D
*sigh*... I love my life... I love being a missionary... The weather is still hot (we're down in the high 90's today!), the work is EXPLODING with greatness, and the love and prayers from home are truly felt all the way out here! Even when life gets tough just look for the miracles... they're all around us!
I love you!
Love, Sister Meg
