Dear family and friends,
Wow, things sure are cooling off here! It is FREEZING!! Yesterday we hit 47*, but it warmed up to 60*. Let's just say the drastic ( and i mean DRASTIC) weather change from 90* to 40* has given me a cold. Oh well, I'm drinking lots of fluids and hot cocoa (please send some Stephens cocoa-they don't have it here) and chicken broth. :) Mmmm...'tis the season! I love it!
So we have two baptisms this weekend, one next weekend, and two more in the near future!
We had a miracle referral from the Elders last Sunday evening of a mom and daughter who just showed up to the church! We called her up Monday, met with her that night, and both committed to being baptized within that same lesson. They are so excited! The daughter is 14 years old and super cute and shy. When she found out that the missionaries were coming over she told her mom, "I am so happy about this church. Ever since we went to church yesterday I can't get this smile off my face!" ... they have been reading the Book of Mormon and really enjoy it. Miracles are happening all around! I am so grateful I'm in a mission that sees so many blessings! I love it. They'll be baptized the beginning of December.
Hy is getting baptized this Saturday! He has not smoked in a week and is going strong! We are very excited for him. He desires to follow Christ so much and he really enjoys coming to church, and will even ride his bike all the way to get there. He sacrifices much to the Lord. He is awesome! SO EXCITING!
Seh is a 9 year old boy who is also getting baptized this Saturday. I think I told you about him too...so smart and so cute! He will be a fantastic missionary someday!
Then there's Rio who will be baptized next Saturday! He asks a lot of great questions and LOVES coming to Young Mens. Gosh, I am so grateful for auxiliary programs... let's utilize them as much as we can! :)
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I though of you all Saturday night! It must be fun to have seen Grandpa and Hilda and Bryce and Ann and Jerry all within just a short period of time of each other... send them all my love!
I am not surprised it snowed up there. For a moment I thought it just might snow down here... maybe... SO CLOSE!! ;)
I can't believe Thanksgiving is so soon! Remember to express thanks for what we are grateful for.
I love you all so much.... Hope to hear from you all soon! Send letters! (I'm glad Mom and Dad do) :)
* * * Love, Sister Sunscreen-Popsicle
