First Letter!

(She addressed this letter to the family but we will share!)

Family!!

I'm alive and well, and all is so so great! I'm sorry I hadn't written sooner...our days are so busy, and even the times when I feel I could write, I just need to study instead. Already we have investigators and preparation to teach them is so vital. GAAA!!!

My days have consisted of going to class for HOURS at a time, getting a half hour to eat, then time set specifically aside to learn and study. Seminars, workshops, etc, just fill my day! So spiritual all the time. *LOVE*

But as exhausted and as mentally drained as I am, I sleep so well, and I just always feel so awake and ready!

My companion's name is Sister P, and she's awesome. Since the start we just got along great. She's got a great testimony and together we're a great team! We love the work!!!

It's true what they say about the MTC...you pray a TON! I am constantly praying to have the Spirit with me.

They've started a new program just this Wednesday in teaching out of "Preach My Gospel". I'm part of the FIRST batch of missionaries to see this! It's so great as we focus more on teaching PEOPLE, and not lessons.

Everyone is so happy here. Missionaries literally flood the sidewalks and halls and cafeteria (which, by the way, is pretty yummy). They told us last night that we've reached our maximum capacity to hold and house missionaries in the MTC. They're even running out of places to keep us all! 2600 Soldiers living on one campus...no wonder we're "gated in" and kept protected with high security. It's not to keep us in but it's to keep evil out and to keep us physically safe.

I know I have angels around me. I'm so protected. I've already witnessed such a change. I am empowered with this calling. I can do things I couldn't do before. I can't explain it, but with this calling comes so much strength to do what you need.

I think about you guys often, but it just amazes me how fast I can forget about myself as "Meg" and truly become "Sister M", a representative of Jesus Christ, and get on with my work. We were asked as missionaries to sacrifice who we were back home for a time, because we have literally enlisted in God's Army.

We have a strict and tight schedule. We wear uniforms. We are given strenuous work. We wear a badge that tells what Army we are fighting with.

But most importantly, we're all here for the same purpose.

The Spirit here is INCREDIBLE.

I love you all so much!

Love, your missionary,
Meg

>muah!<
