June 4, 2012

Hi,

This week has been rough. One thing about !*!*!: this heat makes everyone you meet on the streets grumpy. (Well duh, because everyone we meet is outside which means they're out in the heat, which means only of COURSE are they going to be upset! IT'S SO HOT!)

Let's just say our peak temperature was 115* this weekend. And that same day was the day my companion and I were on our bikes all day. But don't worry: two gallons a day! One gallon of sunscreen and one gallon of water!

I'll be sending dad's birthday stuff this week in a package. The package will be pretty big on account of sending a bunch of other "stuff" home that I don't need anymore (mainly stuff people have given me out here, like a blanket an investigator crocheted me, and all my cake stuff, etc..) But don't worry dad, there'll be something inside for you too!

Can you believe that yesterday marked my 10 months?? Yesterday morning I started to cry out of nowhere... and then I realized why: it was my mission birthday. I am going to be quite frank right now... it scares me that I am definitely over the hill here... augh. SCARY!!

It's bittersweet. I just love it here. That's all :)

My's baptism has been pushed back to June 16th on account of a lot of drama going on in the ward she's just moved into. Oy. The thing is, everyone wanted us to step in and help, but we told everyone that as missionaries it was not our place and that our job is strictly business (GOSPEL business). No-can-do! We just want people to draw closer to Christ; NOT spend our time fixing everyone's drama. Long story short, the recent convert that My was living with had to move out....

But all is well and we'll be seeing great things happening again!

Sorry this email is short... Nothing much happened this week. It was rough, and I've felt kind of sad lately.. I don't really know why :( I'm just trying to refocus on the work and keep baptizing millions!

I love you all. I really look forward to getting your letters this week!

* * * HURRAH HURRAH HURRAH FOR ISRAEL!

Love, Sister Moore
